Karangasem
The regency of Karangasem is one of the nine regencies in Bali, situated in the eastern part of Bali. The area is about 840 km2. Karangasem itself consists of eight districts namely; Karangasem, Manggis, Rendang, Selat, Sidemen, Bebandem, Abang and Kubu district Karangasem has an extraordinary variety of scenic landscapes. Besakih - At to slope of mount Agung lays “Pura Besakih”, the mother temple of Bali. Is most enjoyable during one the frequent festivals, when hundreds of Hinduism devotees come to pray at this temple, gorgeously adorned with beautifully arranged offerings. The location also offers panoramic views and a mountain backdrop of mount Agung. |
| Pura Lempuyang – This temple actually consist of several temples all located on the mountain Lempuyang. The bottom one can be reached by car the rest by climbing the over 1800 steps to reach the top at 768 meters. This temple is after the Besakih the most important temple on Bali |

Tirtaganga – The place was built in 1948 by the last king of Karangasem as a resting place. The water garden has unique architectural features represented by a combination of European, Chinese and traditional Balinese architecture. Surrounded by a fantastic panorama, it makes Tirtaganga worthwhile visiting. |
| Ujung – Lies at the coast of Tumbu village. It was a resting place for the King of Karangasem, know as “The Water Palace” build by the late king Karangasem. It has the same architectural style as Tirtaganga “Water Garden” and Puri Agung Palace in Klung Kung. |

Tulamben – It is the most popular place in Bali for diving and snorkeling. Here you find the sunken hulk of US Liberty warship from World War II. The wreck is fully populated by all kinds of marine life with beautiful tropical fish. It's definitely a paradise for marine lovers. |
Amed – Also called Jemeluk provides a fabulous panorama with view of mountain and beach, the calm of the sea and the wonder of underwater life makes Amed suitable for diving and snorkeling. This is the place to relax and avoid the crowded areas. |
