Amed is known for it’s healthy corals. Fresh seawater provides excellent nutritions for the ever growing and changing coral formations. This attracts huge amounts of fish, from sharks to massive barracudas, from beautiful nudibranches to the infamous Pygmee seahorse. Drift dives, wreckdives, boatdives, shoredives, plenty of possibilities but always breathtakingly beautiful.
25 minutes by car from PW, is Tulamben. best known for the USS Liberty wreck, 25m offshore, Tulamben is a hotspot for divers from all over the world. But it has more to offer than just the wreck. A beautiful wall (drop off), a spectacular slope next to it (Batu Kelibit) and the coral garden, all offer excellent diving.
5 minutes before Tulamben is the famous muck dive site Seraya, heaven for photographers and admirers of rare and odd species.
Kubu, 5 minutes after Tulamben, is quickly becoming a new favorite to many divers.
With excellent corals, nice gorgonians and very lively sea life, Kubu is stealing the hearts of many divers and is probably Bali’s best kept secret at the moment. |
